HWI mobilizes national workers for evangelistic purposes by providing bicycle consultation and expertise, along with shipping and buying bicycles locally. Presently we have served the disabled, pastors, seminary students and educators.

HWI has bike rallies, offering clinics, safety checks, used bike sales and collection of bicycles. Bicycles serve international students, refugees, immigrants, missionaries, churches, Christian workers, ex-offenders, the homeless and the disabled.

Dignified mobility for the disabled

This is a three-wheeled hand-pedaled tricycle created by HWI to mobilize nationals disabled by illness, war and landmines, providing the opportunity to earn a living. HWI seeks to facilitate the production of such a trike by providing plans, part sources, and information concerning the creation of an efficient assembly process and the tooling required.

Under the leadership of our mechanic we repair bicycles before distributing. Parts are salvaged from bikes beyond repair. Volunteer mechanics have presented inservices on how to repair bikes for our HWI volunteers. It's a place for people of differing backgrounds to find common ground and engage in work and conversation alike.
